Kenworth Truck Company started the PACCAR Engine Donation Program that allows dealers to sponsor the donation of a used engine to Technical Schools of their choice across the United States and Canada. The program, donating PACCAR MX-13 engines from test cell units, went live roughly in April of 2015.
To donate an engine, dealerships have to submit applications that agreed to the terms and conditions of PACCAR Standard Policies. Once the application is submitted to the school by the dealership, Kenworth selects schools to receive the donations as engines become available.
After a two-year process, CIT Trucks was one of the first six dealerships to donate an engine to a technical school. On Friday, June 10, 2016, CIT Trucks donated an engine to Ranken Technical College in St. Louis, Missouri.
